Role & Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY/SCOPE:
Evaluates instrumentation systems, products, components and applications by monitoring and applying knowledge to
support maintenance activities. Confirm system and component capabilities by implementation of maintenance
procedures as per strategy.

2. RESPONSIBILITIES
• Receives work orders related to general instrumentation and allocates work to individual craftsmen or technicians.
• Performs a quality monitoring role, ensuring that work competed by section is adequately performed.
• Ensures application of work permit in the assigned areas.
• Ensure Work-orders and permits are tracked, and jobs closed as per set procedure.
• Monitors instruments, spare parts current stock levels in the store and prepares lists of stock items required.
Updates PC-based instrumentation database, ensuring the system maintains all current information on instruments.
• Prompt support on technical solutions by diagnosing the problem and supporting field team.
• Troubleshoots complex operational situations, providing high level knowledge on instrument maintenance to
technicians.
• Initiates pro-active preventive maintenance tasks for maximizing instrumentation control loops performance and
reducing corrective maintenance time.
3. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Bachelors in Instrumentation / Electronics engineering
• 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas-minimum 5 years in maintenance function.
• Sound knowledge of all technical aspects of instrumentation equipment.
• Should have thorough understating of instrumentation drawings and maintenance philosophy of various
equipment’s.
• Effectively communicate with client, project manager and other project members.
• Good with MS Office and other computer applications.
